We all care.

From parents to providers, we are all part of our Network of Care.

Who We Are

Our network of care is made up of community partners, parents, educators and public health officials who are dedicated to ensuring all children have access to the resources they need to live a healthy and happy life. Together, we are committed to understanding the context and importance of ACEs, discussing how we can translate these principles into practice, and implementing ACEs-informed care in our education and health systems at a local level.

It takes a village

As parents, providers and community leaders, we are changemakers and healers. We have the power to redesign our systems to ensure that everyone receives equitable and compassionate care at every stage of life.

Our Network of Care provides a welcoming space to learn, deepen understanding, and take action at all levels - within our families, schools, clinics, and government - to create an equitable, nurturing, and resilient community.

County Connections

In June 2020, ACEs Aware awarded two grants to organizations in Santa Cruz County as a part of the ACEs Aware initiative. This program provides training and payment to Medi-Cal providers for ACEs screening, and trains providers and networks of care to respond with evidence-based interventions and trauma-informed care. The ACEs Aware Initiative is led by Dr. Nadine Burke Harris and Dr. Karen Mark as a part of Governor Newsom’s California for All initiative.

Our community-driven Network drives, designs, and delivers positive community environments that contribute to positive childhood experiences.

Our Partners

Our work would not be possible without our partners who provide community insight, leadership, resource support and a collective wisdom. Learn more about local organizations who are a part of our ACEs Network of Care.
