ACEs Community Support Team
Learning Together
The ACEs Community Support Team is a space for Community Health Workers, Promotores, and clinic leaders to share knowledge and uplift the healing capacity of local residents through culturally-connected health education and navigation services.
The following series of 5 bilingual (Spanish/English) workshops was designed to:
Deepen understanding about the movement to screen, treat, and heal from adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and toxic stress
Gain knowledge and share skills to support community members on their healing journey
Build and strengthen mutually supportive relationships with other health providers and community partners
This work was funded by California's ACEs Aware initiative through the Preventing and Responding to ACE-Associated Health Conditions and Toxic Stress in Clinics through Community Engagement (PRACTICE) program, and facilitated by Cradle to Career Santa Cruz County in partnership with the Health Improvement Partnership of Santa Cruz County.
