What are “The Pair of ACEs”? What are their root causes? How do they show up in our communities? The first session of the learning series lays down the building blocks for understanding ACEs at a deeper level. “The Pair of ACEs in Practice” explores the network’s mission at a local and state level, which factors contribute to ACEs and the frameworks we use to more deeply understand this area.

  • The Pair of ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) in the context of Adverse Community Environments

  • The Center for Community Resilience and the Building Community Resilience (BCR) and the Pair of ACEs framework, which are used to to engage the community in addressing and preventing ACEs

  • Key community assets and resources, messaging, and policy topics that promote “upstream” efforts to address social determinants and build community resilience.
