This builds on the previous session on Community Resilience & The Pair of ACES with a focus on resiliency and recovery. We deepen our understanding of trauma and explore ways for us to heal ourselves, other people, and our broader community. We explore: What is “Trauma-informed care” and why is it important to care providers and advocates? Gain tools to build resilience, manage stress, and support our community and each other as advocates and healers. Learn resilience strategies to promote healing & positive childhood experiences that help prevent, mitigate, and heal the effects of trauma & toxic stress. Explore how trauma-informed care can strengthen the way we work with our community.
