“Connecting ACEs, Equity, & Resilience” discusses how we build community resilience through equity-centered practice change and community engagement.

  • Use the Building Community Resilience process as a tool for fostering difficult conversations in practice and community

  • Explain the relationship between trauma, equity and community resilience through the lens of structural racism and how that plays out in the COVID-19 pandemic and social unrest

  • Examine how a narrative of white supremacy creates a power dynamic within organizations and community, and how the burden of inequity and the benefit of privilege show up in practice and community

  • Apply community engagement strategies to build trust and relationships for equity-centered practice change and community engagement
